MEET CHRISTIAN

I’m running to make Frederick a more affordable, accountable, and equitable place to live and raise a family.

I grew up surrounded by Frederick County’s rich history, community, and character. Born to two working parents, we had our hardships, but this community gave my family a second chance and the promise of a better future. I wanted to ensure families like mine would never be left behind.

My education and work experience have been in the pursuit of service to others.

I believe government should focus on providing the tools and skills to allow people to excel beyond “good enough.” My work in public service and Masters of Public Administration journey have strengthened my leadership skills and knowledge of good governance.

As a member of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and a leader within the Frederick Democratic Socialists of America, I fight for our immigrant neighbors to build coalitions against the discriminatory 287(g) program, support our workers around the county in their unionizing efforts, speak on behalf of our LGBTQ+ students in the fight to preserve and strengthen Policy 443, and converse with our neighbors to ensure democratic participation, both for elections and policy matters. Mass movements make these fights winnable.

Decisions about the people of Frederick County should be made with them, not for them.

We deserve to excel, not just be grateful just to get by. Our land, health, and safety are too often sacrificed for short-term profit. We’ve been led to believe that the best we can hope for is to renew our lease, buy groceries, and hang on for one more month instead of dreaming about what we can build, create, and achieve together.

We should be investing in our people. This means strengthening our local economy, supporting small businesses, and ensuring that the people who make Frederick County work can afford to stay here

That’s why I’m running for County Council — to fight for real change.

Not just to lower costs, but to:

  • Protect workers’ rights

  • Strengthen renter protections

  • Ensure government accountability

Frederick is the fastest-growing county in Maryland, full of potential and promise, but growth must come with fairness, opportunity, and accountability. Our government should work for everyone, not just the well-connected few.

I believe Frederick can do more. I believe we can dream bigger.

So join me and together, let’s build a Frederick that works for all of us.
